The Riyadh office, Henning Larsen Middle East, was established in May 2008 in the wake of the 1st prize in the competition for King Abdullah Financial District in the Saudi capital. The development project was followed by a number of distinctive building projects of which the first will be completed in 2014. The financial district is the world's largest sustainable development plan. All buildings, including the masterplan for the area, have thus been certified for the international sustainability standard LEED.
Henning Larsen Middle East develops iconic architecture with a focus on distinct high-rises in residential and commercial typologies, innovative development plans, headquarters, cultural institutions and hotels. The office also conducts client consultancy and supervision.
