Claude Bøjer Goderfroy

Claude Bøjer Godefroy is the Design Director for Henning Larsen Architects' office in Hong Kong and since 2008, Claude has been leading several of the company’s activities in Asia.Claude has special qualifications in the concept and project development of large identity-creating projects and masterplans with a focus on designing strong, holistic solutions based on complex design parameters. He has been the lead designer behind a number of significant international projects – from cultural venues and commercial headquarters to complex masterplans.

Prior to joining Henning Larsen Architects, Claude was the lead design architect at Atelier Jean Nouvel, where his unique architectural talent resulted in several prize-winning buildings. His completed work with Atelier Jean Nouvel includes the Danish Radio Concert Hall, Perpignan Theatre and Le Nouvel@KLCC Tower in Kuala Lumpur.

Currently, Claude is the lead designer for over 300,000 m2 of cultural build­ings either under construction or on the design board, including the East Lake Opera in Hangzhou, China.

Claude combines the Scandinavian approach to design -focused on the well-being of citizens- with an understanding of Chinese culture and local construction practice.
