Daniel Harald Baumann

As a design architect Daniel is one of the two key figures in charge of Henning Larsen Architects' competition teams.As a strong conceptualist, Daniel specialises in concept and design development with a particular focus on using the design process and cross-disciplinary collaboration as a catalyst for developing individual and distinctive projects. Daniel is particularly skilled in digital and 3D design, and uses this actively to pursue and develop complex design issues. With a background in academia, Daniel is a strong communicator and uses this to disseminate innovative design solutions.

With an international background, having lived, studied and worked abroad for years, Daniel has particular experience working in multi-cultured teams in an international context. At Henning Larsen Architects, Daniel has worked to develop initial studies into concept and schematic designs on the company's international projects.

As part of Henning Larsen Architects' international organisation, Daniel has worked in our offices in Copenhagen, Riyadh, and Munich. Recently, Daniel was responsible for the 1st prize win for the Baden- Württemberg Parliament Visitor's Center in Stuttgart and was part of the competitions teams for the Al Mahdia residential project in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia and the 1st-prize win for the European Spallation Source in Lund, Sweden. Currently, Daniel is design architect in the Copenhagen competitions department, and is developing schemes ranging from student housing in Denmark to retail projects in Asia.
