Lundamo School and Daycare Centre

The project proposes a building that offers space for differentiated and mutable learning processes. It’s inspired by the vision of creating a “learning school”.

It’s fairly easy to understand the composition of the school. The community corridor lies as a spine through the entire building and crosswise different physical and visual spaces occur.

Lundamo School and Daycare Centre is a flexible building. It is possible for more events to happen at the same time as every day activities go on undisturbed. The different rooms can be changed and divided, added together or cut off in order to create stages and platforms for display.

The building opens up towards the sunlight and the townscape. Huge glass sections expose the inner activities of the school and at the same time mediate the connection to the common and green areas.
