What makes Henning Larsen a special place to work?
The people at Henning Larsen are the heart of what makes it special. It is precious to be able to meet and collaborate with a group of people that share the same passions in design and thinking, both at and outside of work.
Which projects are you particularly proud of?
Jurong Lake Gardens will always be special to me. It was my first major project, and I had the privilege of seeing it through from concept to completion together with a team that I learned so much from. I return to the site often, watching how the landscape evolves, how people interact with it, and how it brings joy to so many. Simple moments like this are what motivate me.
"It’s exciting to think about how the spaces we create will shape the future."
Another project I’m proud of is the National Orchid Garden, where we navigated challenging site constraints to create a space that celebrates the diversity of orchid habitats. It’s rewarding to see it become one of Singapore's top tourist destinations, and to know the effort that went into making it a truly unique experience for visitors.
A recent milestone for me was winning the North-South Corridor project. Working through the multiple competition stages that led to the current Concept Masterplan, we’ve been able to shape a simple yet transformative vision that will extend across 21.5 km of Singapore. It’s especially motivating to collaborate with such a talented, multi-disciplinary team who all share the same vision and passion for this project.
What excites you about the future?
I’m excited by the potential for transformation in the projects we’re working on, especially in Singapore. It motivates and excites me to imagine how the future can be shaped over time, and I'm grateful to be part of something that will have a lasting impact on communities and the environment.
Is there a place in Singapore that you find particularly inspiring or enjoyable to spend time in?
I love the public spaces around the residential area where I live. There’s a group of cats in the neighborhood, each with their own quirks, and they’ve become my companions during my downtime. It’s a peaceful place, and I find it the perfect spot to recharge after a busy day.
