Signe Kongebro Becomes Bember of Architecture Committee at Danish Arts Foundation

Associate Partner and Head of Sustainability at Henning Larsen, Signe Kongebro, has been appointed member of the Architecture Committee of the Danish Arts Foundation as of 1 January 2014.

    • Tuesday 10 December, Danish Minister for Culture, Marianne Jelved, published the names of the new members of the 12 arts committees of the Danish Arts Foundation. Marianna Jelved says about the selected members:

"It is a strong team who will make up the new Danish Arts Foundation. The 54 members together possess the competencies required, not least the artistic expertise that forms the foundation for the important work of the Foundation. I am pleased that the new Arts Foundation can now soon begin its work. And I am confident that the Foundation will be a large gain for Danish arts!"

In addition to Signe Kongebro, the Architecture Committee consists of architect Kim Herforth Nielsen (chairman), landscape architect Torben Schønherr, PhD and Professor Mette Ramsgaard Thomsen and architect Søren Leth.

Signe Kongebro is educated as an architect and heads the Department of Sustainability of Henning Larsen. She is behind a number of public presentations and has initiated several public debates on sustainability. Additionally, she actively contributes to the public debate through her involvement in a number of cross-disciplinary networks such as the network for energy retrofitting of the Danish Ministry of Climate, Energy and Building and the green think tank of Denmark, Concito. In August 2012, the book 'Design with Knowledge' with Signe as editor was published.
