We Have Won the Competition for CO-RO's New HQ

Henning Larsen has designed a new headquarter and innovation lab for the Danish manufacturer of fruit-based soft drinks CO-RO. The building will become a show window for CO-RO’s newest research and products and a natural meeting place for the global organization.

    • The new innovation lab and headquarters is designed with the CO-RO brand and values as a point of origin. The design and materials show creativity and are aligned with the company’s products and philosophy.

“The vision is that CO-RO’s global innovation lab will inspire both employees, visiting researchers and customers and make them think and act on creativity every day,” says architect and partner at Henning Larsen, Søren Øllgaard.

The headquarters will be built as an extension of CO-RO’s existing buildings in Frederikssund, North of Copenhagen, Denmark. The building is designed as an oval building volume and will be built by the existing administrative building connected by a new light and open main entrance area and showroom.

The buildings primary function, the lab, is places in a double high room on the first floor. From the mezzanine on the second floor, which house the marketing department, you have a full view over the labs. On the ground floor, you find the canteen and an open auditorium for product presentations etc. The rest of the building has a flexible design and will house different administrative functions.

The two-store building will stand out as open and welcoming. The workstations are flexible and dynamic designed to enhance collaboration and sharing of knowledge across the organization. Along the corridor space, informal meeting areas are arranged. This way, the building will be a natural center for both professional and social interaction for the organization's employees.
