  • A metro ride across Amager cuts through a burgeoning colony of angular silhouettes, polished aluminum and glass facades; a showroom for modern Danish architecture. Many of these buildings have only appeared in very recent years, but the Ferring International Center has stood for nearly two decades as an architectural trendsetter in the area.

Named by Danish magazine Byggeri as ‘Building of the Year’ after its completion in 2002, the modernist stylings of the exterior have helped to define local architecture in the years since. Standing as one of Denmark’s tallest buildings at 80 meters high, the Ferring International Center is an unmistakable influence for contemporary architecture in Amager.
