Like many European cities, Brussels has shifted to a postindustrial economy and is in the process of redeveloping old industrial areas. This redevelopment shifts the city centers towards the Canal Zone. But how do you create a rich, modern community around old factory space? First, by expanding the existing canal to encourage recreational activities like kayaking and swimming, and new space for attractive studios and apartments. We will also introduce space for new production companies such as breweries and coffee roasting facilities. Key West will soon transform from an old industrial zone to a modern, lively area to grab a drink, take a swim, and engage with others.
