• Østensjøveien 27 has opened

The office building Østensjøveien 27 in Oslo was officially inaugurated on the 11th of February 2014. The building will be housing the new headquarters of Norwegian NCC. It is a spearhead project within sustainability and has been constructed as a passive house after Norwegian standards.

  • The sustainable office building has been designed based on a holistic idea, containing everything from daylight ratio spatiality and sustainable materials to the positioning in the vicinity of public transport. And even though the construction is foremost an inspiring open-plan office the building has been designed with enough flexibility to turn it into housing facilities.

Østensjøveien 27 has been chosen as ideal project in the initiative FutureBuilt, a corporation between The National League of Norwegian Architects, a number of municipalities, and governmental institutions. All FutureBuilt projects fulfil a number of criteria of sustainable solutions and a minimal emission of CO2. Østensjøveien 27 is the eighth realised FutureBuilt project.

In addition Østensjøveien 27 has been nominated for this year’s MIPIM Awards. MIPIM is a prestigious People’s Choice Award, which is given out annually in Cannes. The passive office building is a finalist in the category ’Best Innovative Green Building.’
