The prize is award to companies that have excelled in Saudi Arabia’s construction sector. Architecture Firm of the Year goes to companies that can demonstrate the best record of delivering innovative, original and consistent design and master planning on long-term projects.
Henning Larsen's Architects’ activity in the Middle East began with the Aga Khan award-winning Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Riyadh, completed in 1984. Today, Henning Larsen is an architectural company with a broad range of projects in the Middle East as well as in the rest of the world. Since 2008 the firm has had a branch office in Riyadh, undertaking much of the work with the masterplan for King Abdullah Financial District, which won 1st prize in 2008, as well as other projects.
On behalf of Henning Larsen Simon Ingvartsen, Design Director in Riyadh received the award, which was handed over by Brian Lacey fra Arcadis.
