The award-winning Frederiksbjerg School in central Aarhus, Denmark, is one of the finalists in the Danish Building Awards 2018.
The Building Awards honors sustainable construction and buildings. Frederiksbjerg School is a finalist in the ‘Projektprisen’ category, which celebrates a project that in particular has gained distinction and serves as an inspiration for the entire business.
The award focuses on both the planning process, design process as well as the result, and how it all comes together in a project that benefits all involved parties, users, and the surrounding communities. The nominated projects are initiated or completed within the last 5 years.
The award is presented by Licitationen, Bygherreforeningen and Lean Construction in collaboration with Boligfonden Kuben. In total, 11 awards will be given to companies within the Danish construction and architecture business.
The School has previously been recognized with awards such as the Danish School Building of the Year 2016, Building of the Year Award 2016, AZ Award of Merit 2017 and Aarhus Municipality's Architecture Award 2017.
Building Awards takes place on November 9, 2018 in Copenhagen.
