The German art school has affected architecture like no other modern institution. For us, it has determined the backbone of our design process:
"The idea of working as a community, as advanced by the Bauhaus, rather than as a hierarchy drove the culture at Henning Larsen from the beginning. The best idea won regardless of authorship. One of the msot important tasks for me as a leader has been - and still is - to ensure that this spirit remains and is present in our organization," our Partner and CEO, Mette Kynne Frandsen, says.
To celebrate the 100th Anniversary of the legendary Bauhaus, Edition DETAIL just published the book, “My Bauhaus / Mein Bauhaus.” The book features 100 architects from around the world sharing their personal perceptions of the Bauhaus – how it is relevant to them personally or professionally, aspects of architecture they consider classic Bauhaus, and much more.
The book features a short essay from our CEO on Henning Larsen’s relationship to the ideals of the Bauhaus. The book will be presented for the first time in Weimar, Germany on January 31st, 2019. Spela Videcnik from OFIS and Werner Frosch from Henning Larsen will discuss the Bauhaus with the Editor-in-Chief of DETAIL, Sandra Hofmeister.
