      Dieter Grau has over 20 years of experience as a landscape architect, and is an acknowledged expert in implementing liveable cities, specifically with urban water, as well as solving major infrastructure challenges through an integrated urban design approach. He has extensive international experience in complex urban projects which achieve resilience, design distinction, and maximise investment potential.

      Through a new generation of blue-green infrastructure solutions, Dieter has special experience in interdisciplinary collaborations to drive the agenda of open spaces that are highly integrated with infrastructure, in very diverse cultural and regional contexts. He has guided many teams on extraordinary projects to deliver world-class designs. It has been Dieter’s privilege to take many innovative projects from concept through to full implementation.

      Dieter frequently lectures in Germany and abroad, and is the author of numerous books, including the latest edition of “Waterscape Innovations“. Selected publications include “Gewappnet für Wolkenbrüche”, Garten+Landschaft, Germany, 2014; “Climate Adaptive Urban District Design”. Chinese Landscape Architecture, 2014, China; “A Way to Overcome Urban Watercrisis and Creating Liveable Cities”, International New Landscape, 2013, China.

      Recent project awards include the Hafen Offenbach in Germany, winner of the German Design Award 2018, in the category Urban Space and Infrastructure;  the ASLA Award of Excellence for the Copenhagen Cloudburst Masterplan, 2016, and the ASLA Honor Award for Bishan-Ang Mo Kio Park in Singapore, 2016.
