With over 20 years of experience specializing in water systems and hydrology, Stefan Brückmann continues to deepen his knowledge in ecological water management for watersheds, rivers and urban areas. And its integration as a designed infrastructure into landscape and urban developments. Stefan has extensive experience of delivering projects using applied solutions, from concept design through to construction completion.
Stefan’s experience is shown by outstanding built and long-term operating projects such as Scharnhauser Park near Stuttgart, where he was project manager for one of the largest stormwater projects in Europe. Stefan led the planning, design and implementation of stormwater management in an area of high hydrological sensitivity and heavy clay soils. His international expertise in holistic approaches to eco-water management, water circulation and cleansing methods has been tested in numerous projects such as Kallang River-Bishan-Ang Mo Kio Park in Singapore, the Urban Lake at the Potsdamer Plaza, Berlin, Germany, and the Telecom Park in Taipei.
Notable projects include the Copenhagen Cloudburst Masterplan which won the ASLA Award of Excellence, in 2016; Bishan-Ang Mo Kio Park in Singapore awarded the ASLA Honor Award, 2016; and the Tianjin Cultural Park, China, awarded the Iconic Auszeichnung, 2013.
