Daniel joined Henning Larsen in 2011, and has worked in several of Henning Larsen’s global offices, including Copenhagen, Munich and New York. Over the years, he has built up a vast cultural understanding of communities that we engage, a knowledge that he utilizes in his everyday work. Since 2018, he has been based in New York where he forms part of the management team of Henning Larsen’s North American office.

Daniel manages the design process of complex projects, organizes large teams, and mitigates decision making while pushing the project forward. As a designer, he emphasizes a contextual approach in which each project is tailored around site, context, program and the eye level user experience, developing simple concepts in response to complex programs and problems.

He has developed a diverse portfolio of projects ranging from large scale urbanism such as the recent win for the Harvard ERC Masterplan which creates a new pedestrian centric neighborhood in Alston, MA, to civic and cultural projects such as the new Eastern High Court in Copenhagen, Denmark, and the Visitors Center for the Parliament of Baden- Wüttemberg, which created a new forum for communication and political engagement in in Stuttgart, Germany.

Currently, Daniel is leading the design for the new Visa Global HQ as part of the Mission Rock Development in San Francisco, California, a new green district emphasizng active ground plane design, and the highest standards within sustainability.
