  • A five-story headquarters will be the new home for 300 Jyllands-Posten employees on Aarhus’ waterfront Filmyby. A large front-facing glass façade gives journalists an outlook onto an ever-changing cityscape, while the exterior concrete walls and pillars displays the permanence of the enduring institution. The open floor plan with flexible layout allows for a collaborative workspace and the free flow of knowledge between journalists and, ultimately, the reader.

  • While the design responds to the present day concerns of a major news publication, the headquarter's materiality —glass, concrete, raw glulam, and steel— is not out of place on an industrial waterfront with the backdrop of construction cranes and smoke stacks. With its prominent masthead proudly displayed atop its headquarters, Jyllands-Posten is poised to contribute to the further development of the city’s waterfront district.
