We advise private and public-sector clients prior to the final definition of projects. Our clients engage us to inspire the clarification process, facilitate involvement processes or fully outline the building program.
When providing client counseling, we make use of all our specialist competences. Together with strong partners, we engage in an interdisciplinary, closely integrated process in the very earliest phases.
Our principal task is to ensure utmost architectural, technical, and financial value for the client, while at the same time creating value that extends beyond the actual building.
The decisions taken in the initial phases of a building project are of vital importance to the final project and to the development process. The foundation for an inspiring and fruitful process is a close, involving, and respectful collaboration where all parties feel consulted and share ownership of the project. We facilitate this process and help to translate ideas and objectives into the final brief, which constitutes the foundation for the further development of the project.
Through in-debt user and client involvement, we uncover, analyze, and concretize the project requirements. The data collected and analyses made in this process provide the basis of the programming phase. We also offer to prepare a schematic or concept design for use in the authorities' consideration of the project.
Henning Larsen offers high-quality client counseling in all project stages – from programming, through concept design and design development to hand-over of completed building. We integrate our expertise in all project disciplines, covering sustainability, landscape, interior and architectural design.
We use a variety of communication tools to visualize examinations and results. Images, drawings, diagrams, physical models, 3D visualizations, and virtual models all contribute to illustrate the creative process. Our clients tell us that this visual approach ensures continuity and increases understanding while stimulating the momentum of their decision-making and change process.
Together with external consultants mtre and Niras, we have assisted the Technical University of Denmark (DTU) in establishing a new 3D Imaging Center in addition to experimental learning facilities, new research laboratories for DTU Physics, and the transfer of DTU Energy from Risø to Lyngby.
The result was two illustrated project briefs covering new construction, renovation, and conversion. The briefs were later expanded to include a light schematic design.
Our work for DTU included volume studies, examination of existing context, user involvement, overall programming etc. In this way, the project very well illustrates the scope of our services in the early project phases.
