      Welcoming 60,000 new colleagues

It’s buzzing in our Copenhagen studio. Two bee families with a total population of 60,000 just moved into our rooftop garden.

    • In our newly established rooftop garden, we’ve welcomed two bees families of 30,000 each. Bees are a crucial part of our ecosystem with the important task to transfer pollen from one flower to another, fertilizing plants so they can reproduce themselves. Simply put, bees keep plants and crops alive.

Our new coworkers can fly within a radius of up to 2,5 km away from home, allowing them to cross-pollinate through some of Copenhagen’s most vital parks and green spaces. The King’s Garden, Frederiksberg Garden and Amager Commons will soon be humming with our bees’ handiwork.

The value of honey bees’ pollination of Danish cultural flowers is estimated to constitute a billion DKK yearly

“Our bees are good for the city of Copenhagen, but also to Henning Larsen. A group of employees will take part in the caretaking of the bees and in total, the bees will produce more than 50 kg of honey each year. We will use this in our canteen and as gifts to our collaborators and clients,” Salka Kudsk, Head of Landscape design, says.
