  • In form and function, the Viborg City Hall is the new heart of the city. A six-story sunlit central atrium welcomes city employees and residents alike, whose engagement with the building’s open, multi-use work spaces fosters interaction between the public and local government. Harnessing solar energy and providing inviting public green spaces, the Viborg City Hall embodies the civic and social priorities of the city in iconic Scandinavian style. The project reclaims an area formerly occupied for military use, reinvigorating the site with new activity and circulating this energy into the surrounding neighborhoods. Emphasizing sustainability, connectivity and flexibility, the new city hall is a striking statement of public values for the city of Viborg.
